Dr. Paul E. Raber has been serving Northeast GA families since 1998. He received his undergraduate in Biology from Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by obtaining his medical degree from the University of New England School of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Upon completion of medical school, he completed a three-year family-practice residency through the prestigious Columbus Regional Medical Center Residency program in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Raber has years of experience in private practice, as well as emergency room and diverse, multiple hospital settings.
Some of his professional achievements include: maintaining his board certification through the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians (AAFP), serving as a member of the Ty Cobb Medical Executive Committee, furthering his reach as Assistant Director for Halcyon Hospice, and recently opening an on-campus clinic for the students of Emmanuel College. Furthermore, Dr. Raber has hosted rotational students from multiple colleges and universities over the years, and enjoys teaching aspiring medical professionals while helping them pursue their own goals in the field of medicine.
As a young child, Dr. Raber felt led by God to become a physician. Never waivering in his commitment and determination, he answered that calling and now, as a grown man, seeks to use the invaluable training, gifts, and skills he has received to serve the medical needs of people with integrity and compassion. Lighthouse Family Practice was opened in 2007, and Dr. Raber’s goal for it has always been to treat every patient with the unconditional love of Christ, honoring God in all he does while utilizing the finest medical skills and experience available.
Dr. Raber and his wife of over 17 years reside in Hartwell with their 3 children. They are members of Liberty Baptist Church where Dr. Raber has taught Sunday School and has served as an Awana leader for over a decade.
